I'm Gonna Marry You With Tobey Maguire by Samantha Hurley is an ode to fangirls and the early 2000s. South Dakotan tween and president of the Tobey Maguire Fan Club Shelby Hinkley takes happily ever after into her own hands when she kidnaps movie star Tobey Maguire and chains him to a pole in her basement. This play is full of pop culture references, dark humor, and delightful vulgarity. Wielding these tools like Shelby does her taser, this play explores obsession and love with a deft hand.
