Dry Land by Ruby Rae Spiegel is a raw and intimate play which shows the complex relationships teenage girls have with their bodies and with each other. Directing this play with Lab! Theatre was an exercise in focused character work and how to guide a company through intense or poignant material. While pro-life protesters took up post on campus, this student theatre production tackled a story of abortion with urgency and care.
